The best way to impact your game:

It usually takes an interactive conversation to magnify the unconscious thinking that is blocking your performance in all endeavors. If you’re struggling on the golf course, tennis court, or other playing fields, there will also be other struggles in your life ... that are due to similar blindspots in your way of thinking. Our Architectural Redirection Manual covers our definition of 'blindspot' with the ultimate blindspot being "I don’t have any blindspots." This book is introduced and available for download - just click on "Books Page 1" on left menu of this page.

Here is a testimonial from a tennis player who received coaching which affected every area of his life by working on tennis:

"I was sitting on my bed. My brother was next to me with his hand placed comfortingly on my back. 'Do you want to talk about it?' he asked. I shook my head no, tears blurring whatever it was that I was staring at. I felt unable to speak. 'You know,' he continued, 'at some point, you might want to talk to Coach about this.' Though I didn't physically shake my head at this time, I was telling myself internally, 'There's no way I'm going to talk to some clown I don't even know, and who doesn't even know me, about the hardest thing I've ever had to go through.'

A couple weeks later, I joined my brother and his wife for tennis at the Mountainside Racket Club. I hadn't played tennis in a year and a half, but something told me it would be a good thing to expend some of the energy that had me so upset. I didn't know Coach was going to be there, and I didn't know that saying yes to a little tennis would be such an important decision. But Coach was there, and tennis was suddenly there, again a part of my life, if only for this day, and the two worked in combination to awaken something within me.

What I remember most of that day -- 'Circular motions, Brad. Small circles coiling into larger circles. Move out of the way, Brad. Put yourself in position, then move into it. Move into the world, move into your future, but only after you've gotten out of the way.' It had only been a couple of weeks since I'd escaped the life I thought I had a grasp on, the marriage that I thought I understood, and the future that I expected. I had questioned WHY this had all fallen apart every day since then, and while I reintroduced my body to the movements of the game ('Your body knows what to do, Brad') I got the answer to my question. 'Why is the ball in the net, Brad? Because it should be.'

Why had I been afraid to talk to Coach? I had been telling myself 'I'm not going to become a tennis pro, I'm not going on tour, I don't even consider myself to be a -tennis player- anymore, so why do we need a tennis -coach-? How can tennis really apply to life? He doesn't know me or my situation.' I didn't realize then how I ALREADY KNOW had boxed me into fear, and that a small letting go of that fear had brought me to a new place. It had only taken a couple hours and a lot of balls in the net to walk through a door I hadn't even known was there.

It's the same I ALREADY KNOW that I had been counting on in my life, marriage, job, friendships, and most importantly, self. I ALREADY KNEW that I could count on everyone around me, I ALREADY KNEW that I'd never be getting a divorce, and when it came charging like a bull, I ALREADY KNEW that I wasn't going to get out of the way. I just let the thing gore me in the chest, run me over, trample me from Colorado back to Arizona.

Yet I was in Arizona hearing 'Get out of the way, see the ball bounce, put yourself in position to move into it,' and I realize that backing off, moving away from the situation for a while had allowed me to see that the bull was still charging and I still had the opportunity to do something about it. And I had something to do about myself"
